Daypart targeting in Ad Manager can be used to schedule ads to be displayed at specific times of the day or days of the week. This approach allows advertisers to reach their target audience more effectively by aligning ad delivery with the times when their audience is most likely to be engaged or receptive.
Usage
- Create a new ad group or edit an existing ad group;
- Under "Daypart targeting" select "Run on a schedule" to configure your schedule(s);
- By default the ad runs everyday, but you can also select a preset, or select one or more specific day;
- Select the start and end time
- Fill in all required ad group details in order to apply the ad group daypart schedule.
Default schedule
Weekday
Advertisers can target ads to specific days of the week. This allows for customization based on weekday versus weekend behavior, which can vary significantly in terms of user activity and engagement.
Daypart
In addition to target specifics days, advertisers can divide the day into different segments or "dayparts" such as morning, afternoon, evening, etc. by selecting only specific hours. Some limitations apply:
- Overlapping of schedules is not allowed;
- Campaign and ad group pacing information will not be available when daypart targeting has been configured.
Overlapping schedules are not allowed
