What it is:
Smart Assistant is your in-platform AI assistant, designed to help you get the most out of Ad Manager. It provides real-time support across all areas of campaign setup, optimization, and reporting. Whether you have a quick question, want help troubleshooting, or need step-by-step guidance, Smart Assistant is always ready to assist.
Smart Assistant is trained on the latest platform knowledge and feature updates, including Ad Manager Plus tools like Smart Optimization, Smart Audience, and Smart Studio. Over time, its capabilities will expand to cover even more areas of the platform and to assist in more proactive and contextual ways.
How it works
Smart Assistant is available via the chat icon inside Ad Manager, on every page. You can interact with it in natural language, just like you would with a colleague. It understands and responds in the language you’re most comfortable with, whether that’s English, Dutch, French, or something else. Ask anything related to campaign setup, strategy selection, ad trafficking, targeting, troubleshooting, delivery issues, or reporting — and you will receive a clear, helpful response within seconds.
In many cases, Smart Assistant can also offer direct links to relevant parts of the platform or suggest next steps. When a task cannot be completed by the assistant itself, it will guide you toward the right solution or suggest contacting the Platform Success team.
Smart Assistant is updated regularly to reflect platform changes and new feature launches.
Behavior notes
Smart Assistant currently only provides guidance. It does not make any changes to your campaign setup unless you do so yourself.
It will always explain its reasoning and refer to trusted platform documentation where relevant.
Smart Assistant prioritizes verified platform knowledge and avoids speculative or unconfirmed responses.
Complex requests may require escalation. In those cases, Smart Assistant will suggest reaching out to your Platform Success contact.
Smart Assistant is powered by AI and can make mistakes. Always verify answers if you are unsure, or contact our Platform Success team directly via the Support Portal.
Your input stays private. All questions and data you enter in Smart Assistant are only used within your own account. However, the DPG Media team may use anonymized questions and answers to improve Smart Assistant’s performance over time.
